Located just a mile and a half from Hayward's Main Street and feet from the Namakagon River, we welcome you to Riverside House. Enjoy calm mornings on our riverside dock with frequent bald eagle, duck, and swan sightings. Local canoe and kayak rentals are available with easy access to Lake Hayward from the dock (just under the Highway 77 bridge). Bring your fishing pole and tackle to try your luck as the Namakagon enters the Lake. Ideal stay for the Birkenbeiner or a summer getaway. This is a single family home with two bedrooms (each with a queen size bed), full kitchen, dining room, living room (television, streaming apps, and local channels), and high speed internet with WiFi (300Mbps). There is a window A/C unit in one of the bedrooms, but the rest of the house DOES NOT have air conditioning. There are two full bathrooms and an additional half bath. The loft is currently unfurnished, but could support an air mattress as an additional space (not provided). Basic kitchen essentials are provided: dIshes, silverware, toaster, can opener, blender, and coffee pot. There is a pool table in the workshop, we just ask that you cover it after you're done. If you choose to use the natural gas heat in the workshop, you'll need to turn on the gas using the blue valve by the heater (please close the valve after use). You have full use of the yard, dock, and firepit, but you'll want to bring your own chairs and firewood. You will receive a welcome note the day of your reservation with the lockbox location and code. IMPORTANT NOTE: There is NO air conditioning in the primary bedroom or main house but the living room and primary bedroom do have ceiling fans. If hot weather is anticipated during your stay, we recommend bringing additional box or stand fans. The second bedroom DOES have a window unit, but it is not strong enough to cool the rest of the house. Additional Note: The home is very close to Hwy 77. When outdoors or on the dock, you will have noise from the traffic. It is not typically noticeable in the house unless the windows are open. It hasn't diminished our ability to enjoy the property, but we did want you to know what to expect. Hwy 77 is not super busy so this is usually not a big inconvenience. The home is currently listed for sale, but we will not schedule showings during your stay. All parts of the property are available to use, to include garages and workshop, dock, yard, and entire home. This was our personal home and was designed and styled for us versus a true vacation home. We are now out of state, but we have a lot of family and friends in Hayward that are helping us. Our primary communication is through AirBnB message but if you need personal assistance, we do have local support. Residential street off of US Hwy 77. Private driveway with garage space available. Plenty of space for multiple cars and trailers if you bring boats, jet skis, or other recreational vehicles. The street is very walkable. The house is also right next to the City of Hayward ATV trail network (access right from the home without a need to park somewhere else). As you get closer to your reservation, we will confirm the street address and give you the lockbox code to access the key (which is on the front interior porch; the exterior lock box is for our real estate agent). Please remember to return the key to the lock box on your departure.
