Valley View Barn

Valley View Barn is a beautifully converted farm building, with wonderful rural views, set in the midst of the peaceful Kent countryside. Nestled within our small holding you will have our sheep, chickens and local wildlife as your new neighbours and footpaths on your doorstep to explore hidden countryside and ancient woodlands. Historic, Canterbury (15 mins) and the beautiful Kent coast (30 mins) are just a short drive away. A perfect spot to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty. The space Valley View Barn was used in the last century to house the original owner's cows. Miss Petit was a well known local farmer, who took great pride in her small herd. The barn has been extended and converted to provide up to date, comfortable accommodation, whilst retaining its character and making the most of its beautiful setting. Now humans get to enjoy the view loved by the cows! Guest access Guests staying in Valley View Barn have the entire space to themselves. On the ground floor, bedroom 1 is accessed off the entrance hall along with the downstairs shower room and toilet. The hallway leads you to the living room and on through to the kitchen diner. The living room has comfortable seating for 6, wall hung TV and a wood burner for colder evenings. The kitchen is fully fitted (fridge, freezer, dish washer, electric oven and hob) has seating at the table for 6 people to enjoy the view. Bi -fold doors lead onto the patio with outside dining table and chairs for 6 plus BBQ. The stairs in the hallway take you to the first floor landing. In the cupboard under the stairs you will find an extra fridge and automatic washing machine. Both first floor bed rooms are accessed from the landing. Each has a juliette balcony to fully enjoy the view. Bedroom 2 has a kingsize bed and ensuite shower room and toilet. Bedroom 3 has a ziplock bed which will normally be made up as one kingsize but can become 2 single beds if requested). The ensuite has a full size bath with shower over and toilet. A travel cot and high chair are available upon request, along with stair gates and fire guard. Outside is a fully fenced garden for guest's enjoyment. The Bean Shack is a covered outside seating area for you to relax and soak up the countryside. Other things to note Valley View Barn is situated in the middle of our small holding and we live just across the lane. We will be in the fields at certain times of the day to feed the animals/ attend to their needs. We ask you not to enter the fields without our permission however we are always delighted if guests are interested and want to know more about running a small holding and caring for our livestock. Do ask! We provide a welcome pack on arrival & you can usually purchase extra fresh eggs. Tea, coffee and store cupboard basics can be found in the kitchen, along with dish washing and clothes washing products for your stay.
