A spectacular Southern California sweet spot. From its perch high above the Pacific, Marriott’s Newport Coast Villas embodies the exquisite beauty and quintessential culture of Southern California. This Mediterranean-style resort covers 75 gorgeously maintained acres filled with areas and activities for everyone. The space This large resort has breathtaking views of the Pacific ocean. It has top-notch amenities and very modern and spacious 2 bedroom villas. The villas at Marriott’s Newport Coast Villas can have spectacular ocean views. Units are assigned at check in. As a multiple week owner I can request rooms with an ocean view; However, with Marriott's new policy, an ocean view is not guaranteed if you are listed as a 'guest' staying in a unit vs an 'owner' staying in the unit. I am happy to report that my guests have always been in a unit with an ocean view. Unfortunately I can not guarantee that though (no owner can guarantee an ocean view). It is just a 20 minute car ride from the Santa Ana International airport SNA (aka John Wayne Airport). Tons of picturesque seaside towns surround you, including Laguna Beach, Corona Del Mar, Balboa Island and Huntington Beach. Explore the local culture and take the kids to nearby marinas to see the sea lions napping on the docks or jump on a whale watching excursion and see thousands of dolphins in a pod swimming underneath your catamaran. Enjoy the local breweries or world renown restaurants that surround you. Or just stay put, you will have plenty to do without having to leave the grounds: Cook a big meal with friends. Have some drinks in the gardens by the fire pit, or on your private balcony. Take a nice bubble bath in the jacuzzi tub, or work remotely - knowing that you have free high speed internet, in your room and around the property. You and your partner can binge some Netflix episodes you’ve been wanting to watch, while the kids can watch whatever they want in their own room. There are smart TVs in every room! There are multiple pools, basketball, beach volleyball, and tennis courts. There is even an onsite boutique spa with a steam room and sauna. The spa has recently reopened since closing during the pandemic so you can pamper yourself with a relaxing massage! The pools at Marriott’s Newport Coast Villas are impressive. The huge Catalina pool is the most popular on the property. There is a pool designed for 'quiet' as well as a pool set up with a volleyball net for the more active guests. These pools are in close proximity to the kids room and teen room. The Catalina pool area is also where the bar and restaurant is. The pool temperature is perfect. There are two additional pools located at the two extremities of the property. The top one near the tennis courts is a lap pool, and the other is a lagoon style pool created especially for kids with an interactive water area and water slide. All pools have umbrellas to offer shade when needed and the hotel provides you with pool towels in your room. Guest access There are 3 free parking passes. The first one allows you to park directly in front of your unit (24 hrs). The other two allow you to park in the garage lot near check in (for overnight stays), but day parking is allowed anywhere on the property. The resort provides free shuttle rides on the property. Other things to note This is a great place for families bigger than 5. The beds are super comfortable and the sofa beds are too! The brand they use for the sofa bed is American Leather which has no springs or coils. It is super comfortable for a sleeper sofa. Registration Details Exempt
