The Solitude Homestay welcomes the conscious modern traveler to scenic cliffside home - offering comfort and privacy; nestled amidst cardamom, tea plantations and pleasant weather. While here, you can choose to go for day hikes, walk alongside plantations, watch various species of birds, flora, fauna at your own pace and even find your spot by a lake. We have sittings in our garden, balcony and bonfire to enjoy the epic views and exotic weather. Great-smelling tasty food is served piping hot. The view from the eastward facing patio on the north is a sight to behold which soothes the senses. A chain of green clad hills stands bordering the eastern horizon and the valley below is a collage of green tea plantation and red flame of the trees. The property has Garden view, Mountain View and Lake view (enroute). The places around villa which abets the AVT CARADY GOODY Tea estate (Peermade’s 3rd largest tea estate) is a cute little piece of land to relax away in total privacy. BEDROOMS - Emanating a cozy and warm aura throughout the premises, this property houses 2 bedrooms. BATHROOMS - There are 2 bathrooms. - All bathrooms have geyser, shower, towels and basic toiletries. COMMON AREAS - As you step into the cosy confines of this home set on the edge of a cliff, you will be greeted by a chic living room on the ground floor that can accommodate up to 10 people. - It is equipped with a plethora of amenities such as a quaint sofa, TV with Tata Sky DTH, etc., - There is a separate dining area on the ground floor which can seat up to 6 people. - Fancy immersing yourselves in a literary world with an enviable backdrop? The balcony on the first floor offers the perfect spot for it. - Wrapping around the expanse of this hillside estate, the well-manicured lawns cover an area of about 1500 sq.ft. FOOD Great-smelling food is served piping hot. Food served from the routine 'Kitchens of Kerala’. The menu is set between the guest and the host with controlled use of spices, with homegrown and organic fruits, vegetables and spices finding a place in the cuisines. - Breakfast is complimentary. - All other meals can be provided in-house on an a la carte basis, provided you inform in advance. - Cooking and consumption of non-vegetarian food is allowed. KITCHEN - Guests have access to the kitchen to cook their own meals, at an additional cost of Rs. 750/- per night. - It is equipped with gas stove, refrigerator, mixer and grinder. - Crockery and cutlery are also provided. ADD-ON SERVICES - Barbecue kit can be made available at an additional cost of Rs. 600 per day. - Bonfire setup can be arranged at an additional charge of Rs. 1000 (for 2 hours). - Guests can bring their pets to the property at an additional charge of Rs. 750 per pet. - Prices may vary subject to availability and peak season rates. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS The host is not present at the property but is always accessible via call or message. An experienced and responsible caretaker is present to resolve any concerns and help you have a perfect stay. Caretaker has separate room with bath, will access kitchen without using guest area for your absolute privacy. Caretaker speaks Malayalam and Tamil. HOME TRUTHS While we do promise you a welcoming home and a great stay, here are a few things we’d like to mention so as to ensure there are no unpleasant surprises later! - This is a pet-friendly property, however guests need to attend to its needs. - In case of a power outage, the inverter can support all lights for up to 8 hours. - Jio, Airtel mobile networks work fairly well here. - Guests can stay connected with complimentary Wi-Fi. Network is subject to availability at any given time. - Consumption of non-vegetarian food is allowed. - Please be mindful and keep noise to a minimum after 10 PM. - There are CCTV cameras that capture the external areas for security purposes. - The caretaker stays on the premises of the same property. - This is a standalone property. HOUSE RULES - Alcohol consumption is allowed in designated areas only. - Smoking is allowed in the exterior areas of the home only. - Guests are earnestly requested to treat the home with care. POLICIES -The full payment must be made for your booking to be confirmed. - All guests must be able to share valid ID proofs when asked. This could be at the time of arrival. - All foreign nationals must be able to share their passport and visa details prior to their stay. - Any damage to the property caused by the guest will be charged as per the actual cost of repair or replacement. - Any illegal activity - including but not limited to prostitution and the use of narcotics - is strictly not permitted. - Any commercial activity is strictly not permitted. Guest access We are located in the middle of cardamom and tea plantations overlooking endless valley and towering mountain views which you can enjoy from the comfort of our really cosy house. At walkable distance is tea factory, processing unit and factory sales outlet. We have good Jio, VIL4G mobile network, WiFi (1GB daily limit) connectivity and Tata Sky DTH at the premise. Other things to note The property is a on a farm land, so seasonal allergy sufferers will need to be wary of pollen in the air and plan accordingly. We embrace minimalism - decluttering our lives of the unnecessary, embracing only what we truly need. So, a minimalist will truly appreciate the place. Normal check-in and check-out time is 01:00 PM to 11.00 AM. Any changes should be informed to us. Early check-in and late check-out options are available depending on the availability and we may charge an additional charge. We will have in-house caretakers staying inside this holiday home to provide a hassle-free stay for you. Under any circumstances, we cannot hand over keys and leave you alone inside property. We always ensure a caretaker is available inside property for your safety and convenience. This villa is our second home, hence do not expect any hotel kind luxury and services in our holiday home. We ensure that the place is cleaned and tidy prior to guests check-in. No on demand cleaning is possible. Inform us your food preferences before arrival. Gambling, Contraband, Prostitution, Weapons, Explosives, Flammable objects, Poisons, Drugs, Dangerous/ untamed Animals, Video shoots and Loud music are strictly prohibited on villa premises.
