Follow your heart to the heart of the Green Mountains. Mariot's is one of three self-contained units located on a 100-acre wooded property with an extensive network of trails for exploring. It’s handy to many famed Vermont ski resorts including Smugglers Notch, and just 30 minutes to downtown Burlington and Lake Champlain. From July 2023 we'll be open as a wedding venue and able to host your whole wedding party. Come enjoy this amazing place in any season! Mariot's is a spacious three-bedroom self-contained private wing of the house. It is the front of the house and has a full sized farmhouse kitchen, generous sized bedrooms, two en-suite bathrooms and views of Mount Mansfield from the lounge. Bring your family or friends to share your Vermont experience! There are over 100 acres to explore with a network of trails to run, bike, cross country ski, or snow shoe. Bring the sled and find a hill to charge down. Our place is away from it all and yet so close. Views of the mountains, no road noise, just you and the wind in the trees. Yet you can be sitting down for dinner at the Jericho Cafe and Tavern or enjoying a maple creemee at Palmer Maple within five minutes. You have the entire front of the house to yourself. The laundry room is shared with other units. We live about 10 minutes away and are typically available to help out in person if things come up during your stay. Meander down the quintessential Vermont dirt road then up the beautiful 1/2-mile wooded driveway and feel the change of pace as you arrive at Our Place. Away from it all yet near enough - within a 5-minute drive of the quaint town of Jericho, proud home to Jericho Cafe and Tavern, Palmer Lane Maple, Snowflake Chocolates, and Jericho Ale & Bean. Locals proudly go for Smugglers Ski Notch Ski Resort, but Bolton Valley, Sugarbush, Jay Peak, Stowe, Mad River Glen (ski it if you can!) are all within easy driving distance. Burlington International Airport is 25 minutes away and downtown Burlington just 35 minutes too. Visit the Ben and Jerry's factory in Waterbury on your way to Stowe, explore indoor climbing at MetroRock in Essex Junction, or wind your way to the Bolton Dome if outdoor climbing is your thing. Do a lot or do a little. Either way you'll want to come back for more, and we're happy to be your home base at Our Place.
