Room / Artist House

The room available is in an old townhouse, located in the city center of Chalais asleep in winter and lively in summer. The shops and the train station are within walking distance. it is an ideal place to rest, walk in the surroundings, 10 minutes by car from Aubeterre sur-dronne. This accommodation is special because there is an artist's studio on the ground floor, so there is art everywhere. The room is on the 2rd floor of the house. The space The house has a ground floor and two upper floors. The entrance and ground floor open onto my artist's studio. The kitchen, dining room, and living room are on the first floor, while my bedroom and yours—right next to the bathroom—are on the second floor. Guest access You have access to your room, the shared bathroom, and the kitchen and dining room only during mealtimes. You also have access to the balcony (smokers may smoke on the balcony). During your stay Hello everyone, If I'm not there to welcome you and explain how the house works, you'll find the information here: - The dishes are in the sideboard, in the middle cupboard only. - The cutlery and pots and pans are in the kitchen drawers. - If I've forgotten to make room for you in the fridge, feel free to do so yourself if needed. - You have access to the kitchen and dining room only during mealtimes. However, if I'm not there at all during your stay, you're welcome to stay as you please. - For winter: The heating is set to 18 degrees Celsius, and I would like it to stay that way. The room is small, and it gets hot quickly at this temperature. Anything higher is absolutely unnecessary. - There are clean sheets and towels, and your bed is made (no need to remove the sheets, just leave everything in your room before you leave). - There's a cat in this house named Hades. She's adorable and very cuddly, but she's absolutely not allowed in your room (because of the cat hair). So please keep your door closed, whether you're in it or not. - This is a room in a private home, so we're kind of living together. I love my house, and you'll love it if you like colorful things :) - Restaurants and bars: Chalais: - Le Viveronne (open every weekday lunchtime and Friday evening) - Le Flore (open lunch and dinner) - Le p'tit en K (snack bar) - Le 53 - Perhaps the castle restaurant (to be confirmed) - Visit the castle! Aubeterre-sur-Dronne: - I simply recommend going there; there's so much to do: explore the village, visit all the restaurants and bars (three times more than in Chalais), see the monolithic church (THE LARGEST IN EUROPE!), enjoy the river beach with its little restaurant, and you can also go kayaking. Other: - If it's summer, go to the open-air cafes in Saint-Séverin and Poltrot.
