Samphire Cottage is a charming house, ideally situated just 200 metres or so from the charming and historic town of Lyme Regis, with its Cobb and beach. The house itself offers generous accommodation, with four bedrooms (one offering sea views), two bathrooms along with separate living room, dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. Outside, the garden is a real suntrap and perfect for enjoying al fresco dining or just relaxing with a cold drink after a day exploring this charming town. Situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lyme Regis is a sublime location. Charter a fishing boat from the harbour, go fossil hunting or take a walk on the spectacular South West Coastal Path. For something more leisurely, there are a plethora of pubs and restaurants in the town just waiting to be discovered. For nature lovers, the area has some of the most diverse scenery in the country. Lyme Bay sweeps round from the National Nature Reserve on the Dowlands Cliffs in an uninterrupted arc along the huge bank of shingle that is Chesil Beach, all the way to the limestone slab of the Isle of Portland. The 626ft Golden Cap, a breath-taking viewpoint and part of a lovely 2,000-acre National Trust Estate, is the highest point on England’s south coast, and a World Heritage Site. It is an easy drive to Bridport, Honiton, Sidmouth, Exeter and Dorchester, and for families, there are many lovely beaches close at hand, as well as Crealy Theme Park near Exeter. Beach 200 yards.
