Enjoy a romantic getaway in this adorable "Old Tahoe" cabin! Beautiful lake views abound from just about every room as well as from the patio, the hot tub and of course from the covered porch! This darling home is about 1000 square feet, but not a single inch has been wasted! After four generations of The Harris family, we have now become the loving stewards of this charming, “Old Tahoe” cabin. We hope you will enjoy it and care for it just as we do! Tag us on Insta @tahoeharrishouse! The space Tahoe Harris House is a 1935, "Old Tahoe" cabin. It has beautiful views from nearly every room in the house! True to the era, it is very compact with very little wasted space. At just about 1000 square feet, it lives much larger in the summer, with lots of wonderful outdoor spaces and nearly a half acre yard. One of the highlights for our family is the covered, open-air porch. We love to drink our coffee (or wine :) ), watch the snow fall, the sun rise and set, and on warm summer nights, the kids have been known to sleep out there! There are some quirky 1935 features as well-the staircase to the second bedroom is steeper with lower headroom than you would find in more modern homes. There are lower ceilings in the upstairs rooms as well. Doorways are also a little smaller. There are older, well-functioning, and (we think) beautiful steel, single-pane, crank windows.
