Moody two bedroom cabin with wood stove
Description
Welcome to “Connie’s Cabin”! Tucked away in a cozy corner bordering Manitoba and North Dakota, Connie’s Cabin offers a unique experience away from the city. Just 45 minutes south of Brandon, within the Turtle Mountain Provincial Park, nestled waterfront on George Lake, you will find this sweet gem ready to greet you. Wake up to the sun streaming through the lake facing windows as you prepare your morning coffee and sit on the deck overlooking the water before exploring the beautiful terrain. The space Connie's Cabin was designed and built for Grandma Connie, by Grandpa Wes in the mid 80's. We recently took over the legacy of Connie's Cabin, updating the space for a modern twist on the Scandinavian inspired cottage. Connie's heritage is Swedish, and you will find tributes from past and present to her strong upbringing. Main living, kitchen, and bath area feature heated porcelain tile floor, set to your comfort level. While Grandpa Wes never envisioned warming his toes on the floors after an afternoon of chopping logs, we tend to think it's one of the best enhancements to the space. ;) The cabin is heated by both baseboard heat, and the wood burning stove - choose your preference or fire up both! If you ask us, nothing beats the warmth and comfort a wood crackling fire brings on a cool night. Ensure you leave the flue open for proper air flow, and be amazed at how quickly the space warms! Of course should you be enjoying a stay in the heat of our Manitoban summer, turn down the heated floors to feel the cool touch on your feet coming in from outdoors, open the windows and allow the breeze to freshen the space. With two bedrooms, sofa-bed in the living area, and a loft tucked above, there is plenty of room for you and your guests. Looking for the full cabin experience? Head outdoors for either roasting by the fire, or turn up the grill for a sunset dinner. Wake up with coffee on the deck, or take a quick stroll down the stairs to the lower deck resting on the water. While you're there, grab some life jackets and dip Grandpa Wes' canoe in the lake for a real exploratory morning. Looking to settle in for the night? Slide open the wooden coffee table nestled in the living area for books, games, puzzles, DVDs, and more! Bringing younger minds along? Up into the loft you'll find colouring supplies, kids games, play doh, puzzles, and blocks to keep them both stimulated and calm after a long day outside. :) We believe in creating memories and hope you'll find these small touches tucked away in corners of your own memories at Connie's Cabin. (Perhaps a breakfast favourite is the mini gingerbread waffle maker for use in the kitchen! Pick up some waffle mix in Bossevain and enjoy!) P.S. We love your furry family and welcome them to experience all that Connie's has to offer! Guest access Guests have access to the entire cabin and surrounding property, including lakefront views.
