A Japanese-inspired stay in the artist’s house, 400 years old English cottage available for exclusive use. Located on the outskirts of Lincoln, can sleep up to 4 people. Would suit art and design lovers well as people wanting to stay in a unique place. Please note the house is lived in when not rented out. Top floor includes 2 bedrooms, lounge and a toilet. The rest of the house is includes: kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom and a very big garden. The space You will be staying in the oldest cottage on this side of Lincoln called ‘Stone House’. The redesigned 3 level cottage features stunning 400 years old architecture mixed with modern design, contemporary art, vast back-garden and a private parking. All the quirky features of the house have been preserved including walls made out of local stone, wooden beams in all rooms as well as a spiral staircase to the top floor ( please note it is steep in places and not suitable for disabled or elderly). Your top floor: Top floor features 2 bedrooms with very comfortable king size beds and a toilet. There is also a lounge with TV, kettle and a wide range of artworks for your to enjoy including contemporary paintings by your host Kamila, Japanese calligraphy and photographs. There is also a pair of Japanese jukatas (house robes) for you to use. Pets are welcome but please note £15 fee is required to cover extra cleaning (can be paid in cash on arrival or via Airbnb). The hosts, Kamila and Julian have been running the artistic attic rental since 2018. Kamila CK is a Polish-British interdisciplinary artist with background in boutique hotels. Her practice includes performance (aerial and movement), contemporary painting and Japanese Zen calligraphy. Her works have been exhibited internationally including: London, France and Italy. Here paintings are held in private collections in the UK, US, France, Poland and Canada. Guest access You will have access to all other areas of the house apart from hosts' floor. The rest of the house includes ground floor with kitchen, living room, dining room, first floor with a second bathroom and a very big garden. Other things to note Local attractions: -There is loads of lakes and nature around for walks (within 5-10min drive). - Lincoln city centre with the famous cathedral and castle is 15min drive away. - Award-winning Japanese garden (Pure Land in North Cliftonis) is within 20min drive.
