Farmhouse with Fantastic Views overlooking Paonia
Farmhouse with Fantastic Views overlooking Paonia
Description
The old (but newly remodeled) farm house, half a mile from town, has a very private setting on the edge of Pitkin mesa with gorgeous scenic views. One bedroom is downstairs with one bathroom nearby. Upstairs bedrooms are attached by a loft. The upstairs bathroom has a fabulous rain shower. Besides the marble countertops, there is nothing too fancy in this farmsytle house with plenty of love and comfort for all. There is a large shady yard and deck for dining, hammocking or even an outdoor fire! The space Views view views from this magical lawn on the front edge of Pitkin mesa surrounded by hay fields in the midst of 2 rolling hills with springs running through the valley. There is plenty of parking in your private parking lot. Alongside the large lawn is a veritable petting zoo of donkeys. Six donkeys are sometimes kept on the adjoining 11 acres. The barn is located at the back border of the large parking area. The sound of “Rocky Mountain canaries” which is the sound of 6 donkeys braying in unison, can sometimes be heard around here, particularly in the winter months! The donkeys are the reason we ask for dogs to be controlled in the yard and not go running into the donkey enclosure for their own safety. Guest access The guests will have exclusive access to the whole farmhouse, parking lot and yard. Two bedrooms upstairs with one queen bedroom and one twin 4 poster bed, and an amazing bathroom with the best rainshower. The master bedroom is downstairs with the other bathroom alongside. There are wonderful views on all sides. The small bathroom downstairs is the only bathroom, with a shower in the tub. Please see photos. The kitchen is newly remodeled.. Appliances are new. Laundry room is available and one of my favorite rooms in the house! The office is a convenient place to house the internet and get some work done. We really hope you will enjoy this quaint old farm house , but especially the quietness around here, and the fabulous yard and outdoor dining areas with amazing views! Other things to note Pet owners need to be aware of letting their pets roam into the donkey inclosure, which does run alongside the yard. It would not necessarily be safe for them as donkeys do not run from small animals but rather stand and kick. Please keep your beloved pets on a leash, or away from the donkey fence and barn🤗❤️🫏 Jackie, Lilybelle, Paco, Fern, Stella and Redwood are very friendly to humans and starting to warm up to dogs🦮
