Cottage among the tea estates of the Hanthana hills, only 35 minutes from Kandy, set in the grounds of Jungle Tide Bungalow. The space Mulberry Cottage is a lovely, cosy place ! A neat little cottage set in a tropical garden amongst the mulberry trees and next to a stream . You have access to the main house swimming pool , which is 100 metres down a woodland track Enjoy outdoor and indoor games and activities, the space is perfect for small families, or groups of friends . Swim in our large pool, watch birds and wildlife in the gardens by the stream. You have the option to cook for yourself, in the small kitchen, or to enjoy some of the best food in Sri Lanka, cooked by the outstanding cook at the main house, who will deliver breakfast and /or evening meal to the cottage (please make sure you order the previous day) We provide free tea, coffee and filtered drinking water. Laundry service available (please allow 48 hours for drying time. ) Activities : Explore the local villages, tea estates and mountain treks. The starting point of The PEKOE trail, a 300 km long-distance hiking trail through the Sri Lankan Tea Country, is located nearby. There are many different trails with varying levels of difficulty from easy walks, to moderate and even extreme hikes. Book sessions with our trekking guide, naturalist and yoga teacher, ayurvedic masseur, learn to cook Sri Lankan curries, play indoor and outdoor games or just borrow books from our library. Come and experience it for yourselves ! Guest access The cottage is self-contained and is only bookable as a whole on a room only tariff. The main gardens and swimming pool are shared with guests at Jungle Tide bungalow. If you are not self-catering, you can choose to have meals delivered from the bungalow only fifty metres away.
