Uninterrupted sea views - and electricity backup!

This holiday house on Beach Road with 3 bedrooms (1 with a double bed and 2 with a single bed), kitchen, bathroom and lounge, has a separate flatlet at the back with two bedrooms (1 with a double bed and the other with two single beds). The flatlet also has a shower and toilet. It is an older house with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a barbeque on the patio and an enclosed lawn at the back where kids can play safely. The house is equipped with an inverter and battery. The space The decor is homely and comfortable. The recent addition of an inverter and battery system also makes it a welcome escape from loadshedding. There is an enclosed lawn between the house and the flatlet (have a look at the arial view on the you tube video : search for "Kleinmond See e ning" to see what it looks like). It is perfect for kids to play. Two of the 3 bedrooms in the house have 1 pull out mattress each but these are really only for small children - 7 and younger. The main bathroom has a basin, toilet, bath as well as a shower and the one in the flatlet has a basin, shower and toilet. The sandy beach is probably about a 20 minute walk, so it is not advised if you are carrying lots of beach goodies. Then rather drive down. There is a parking lot right next to the beach. Across the road from the house is a footpath taking you to the beach or the harbour all along the rocky shoreline. Remember to bring your own beach towels! Other things to note In South Africa we've become used to what is known as "loadshedding" - power outages scheduled where the grid is off for 2 hours at a time. Although no guarantees can be given for an uninterrupted power supply, we have installed a backup power system so that guests will be able to use the lights, television and some small appliances during loadshedding. There is off street parking for at least 3 vehicles and a garage that can accommodate one vehicle. We have security cameras outside as well as an armed response service provider and an alarm system. Driving to Hermanus with its great restaurants and wine farms and Gansbaai with Shark Cave diving are popular day trips.
