If you are looking for a secluded getaway with spectacular views, this is for you! You will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but you are in the heart of the gorge with easy access to restaurants, wineries, breweries and coffee shops. Make sure to keep your eyes out for the large herd of elk that wander the area. This cabin sits on 5 acres of land with distant neighbors that cannot be seen from the property. When you arrive, you will be in awe of the construction itself, it is truly a log built cabin. The cabin has very tall ceilings, wood floors and a two story, rock fireplace. There are three bedrooms: one master upstairs (queen bed), an additional bedroom downstairs (queen bed) and a bunk style bedroom with two bunk beds that can sleep up to 5 people. The master bedroom has a detached bathroom and the two bedrooms downstairs share a bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances and a large marble dining island. The wood fireplace makes the space extra cozy. Kindling, wood and a lighter are provided for those who would like to make a fire. Alongside the fireplace, there is a couch to snuggle up on. There is a laundry room and laundry detergent for guest use on the main floor. Upstairs you will find a family room and a dining area equipped with a Smart TV. Guests have access to the entire property and will not share this with anyone. To access the front door, a code will be given prior to arriving at the property. Owners live in the region and can be available by phone, text and in-person as needed. The cabin is set in a remote location off of a remote highway. After turning off the highway, guests will drive about 3/4 of a mile on dirt and gravel. The cabin is set about halfway between The Dalles, Oregon and Mosier, Oregon. Having a car is a must for staying at this location as there is nothing within walking distance and local transportation is limited. There is access to wifi (Starlink) but there is little to no cell phone service at the cabin.
