The Molino de la Tranca in the Fuente del Francés, 200 years old, offers you a conscious stay to enjoy company in the middle of nature surrounded by trees, on the banks of the Aguanaz River, near Santander, the beaches of Somo and Langre and the Cabárceno Natural Park. Welcome to this charming place in Cantabria, a fusion of nature, water, slow cooking, and ethnographic heritage! The space The estate is a unique place of about 2700m2, identified as a "landscape of interest" and with extraordinary charm, with terraced gardens at different heights, with natural access to the dam, waterfall and river grotto. The house is surrounded by the river, its main decoration is the landscape seen through its windows, and there you can rest, read, converse, work or play observing and feeling the river from different spaces. The house has 3 floors, with spacious rooms, an open attic and there is also a txoco-dining room in an adjoining building where you can slow cook with a wood-fired oven and barbecue and share in a second large dining room in good company. There are two kitchens in the accommodation, one gas and one induction. Guest access In addition to 2 dining rooms and two kitchens, there are spaces where you can work, a small table for it in the living room and a work table in the attic. 600+ UL/DL fiber optic internet connection is provided, with Wi-Fi throughout the house and also direct Ethernet network cable in the attic. There is an attic with accommodation available for up to 12 guests in the house. Other things to note All bed and bath linens are 100% cotton of good quality and high grammage, so you can enjoy the bathroom and rest with all your senses. Our intention is to be conscious of the natural landscape and the river. The house has a total oxidation wastewater treatment plant. Important Safety Notes! o The house's unique setting is a flour mill on the Aguanaz River, which has water all year round, with different variable flows. o In some areas the property is fenced, but not in other areas, especially in the pool area (unfenced pool) and in the area from the pool to the river, the dam and the waterfall, which is preserved without artificial barriers and only natural ones to enjoy the landscape. o In many areas the property has a terraced structure, with walls of 2-3 meters in some places. o The pool is private and does not have a lifeguard. o Minors must be accompanied and supervised in these areas.
