Wake up with the sunrise to watch wild birds fly over the lake in a dance, listen to song birds while sipping your morning coffee, roam the garden to interact with resident peacocks and help yourself to seasonal bounty from the garden. The hosts cultivate a permaculture micro food forest, no-till method mini farm. The space The place offers the best of south Texas/ Rio Grande Valley. The hosts maintain a gated one acre permaculture micro food forest for tropical fruits and citrus as well as an enclosed no-till vegetable potager garden. Their sustainable organic practices play a major role in making the place such an attractive home to wildlife. This waterfront property is surprisingly close to everything (i.e. minutes!) while it feels like you have been transported to a faraway place. Additional units (lake cabin & hotel style private rooms) are available to meet our guests' varying needs. Please check out my other listings in the profile. Guest access The guest suite has its own private entry. Large windows in the living space face the garden and lake. The bedroom is large. The entire garden that includes private pier, huge fire pit, mini orchard, butterfly garden, a vegetable potager garden, tree swing and the seven acre lake are open to guest use. All we ask from our guests is to respect the place by respecting all the wild creatures within it. No pets allowed. Other things to note WIFI is not the fastest, limited by the kind of providers able to service the area. For large uploads a d downloads, our guests can use the free public wifi at the library one mile from our place. No visitors. No events. No smoking allowed. No partying. No loud music. No pets! Please respect the wildlife.
