The space Tucked into the woods on our family land, this peaceful cottage offers a serene and private retreat just minutes from town and the 101. Inside, you’ll find a cozy living space with a state-of-the-art home theater system, a luxurious soaking tub in a spa-style bathroom—complete with heated tile floors—and a secret bookcase door that opens into a remote-work office which doubles as a music room. Write your next masterpiece here in the woods or simply enjoy the peace and quiet. The space includes a minimalist full kitchen with everything you need for simple, everyday cooking, and the private backyard is perfect for morning coffee or quiet evenings under the stars, unspoiled by city lights. Whether you're enjoying a movie night, unwinding in the bath, or finding inspiration in nature, this space blends comfort, creativity, and calm. Guest access Guests have full, private access to the entire space. While the home is located on our family property, it’s set apart from our home and offers a peaceful, secluded experience. You’ll enjoy your own entrance, dedicated parking, and complete privacy throughout your stay. Other things to note We’re only 40 minutes from the coast and even closer to the redwoods. But on most days you don't even need to walk out the door to see families of deer and turkey grazing just feet away! The cottage is well-insulated and stays comfortable most of the year, but we don’t currently have AC. Opening the windows in the evening and closing them in the morning works wonders. A ceiling fan and portable tower fan are also provided for your comfort. Please note the drive in is rural and cell service may be limited, though we have fast Wi-Fi to keep you connected if needed.
