Rosemary Cottage is perfectly positioned in the centre of the historic, market town of Penrith. Only a 15 min drive from Lake Ullswater, it is a great base for exploring the Northern Lake District. The space Located in the heart of Penrith with cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops right on the doorstep. Rosemary Cottage is full of character with wooden beams, a quirky staircase and a charming courtyard garden. Renovated in 2022, to a very high standard, with thoughtful touches and cosy furnishings throughout. Enter into the living room which features a fireplace with, electric wood effect fire, smart TV ( which you can access your Netflix and Prime Video accounts) a 2 seater sofa and a cosy dining space for two. The fully equipped kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob (not suitable for use for guests with cardiac pacemakers fitted) microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine with complimentary pods. The bedroom has a comfortable King-size bed with luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets, ensuring the perfect nights sleep after exploring the Lake District. There is also a built in wardrobe and a dressing table. A DAB radio is provided, which can be used for music on your phone via Bluetooth. The bathroom is opposite the bedroom and has a large walk-in shower with a rainfall head and additional shower attachment, toilet, sink, heated towel rail, Egyptian cotton towels and complimentary luxury toiletries. Outside there is an enclosed courtyard garden with a bench and table and chairs to enjoy the morning sunshine. A parasol, cushions, camping chairs, picnic rug and cool bag are stored in the shed which you are welcome to use. You can store bikes, kayaks or paddle boards should you wish, in the large secure shed. There is also a covered porch outside the back door with hanging for outdoor clothing and a place for muddy boots should you need it. Please also be aware that due to the age of the cottage it has low ceilings and doorways. The stairs are also steep and narrow and may not be suitable for people with limited mobility. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property and courtyard garden whilst staying. There is no private parking at the property, however free parking is available in the nearby streets between 6pm - 8am and for 1 hour at other times (disc zone). Also free all day on a Sunday. Discs are provided in the cottage. There are 3 public car parks all within a 2-3 minute walk for £6.80 per day. Sundays and Bank Holidays, £1.50 per day. It is also possible to unload your luggage at the door prior to parking. Guests are able to access the property via a key safe at their own convenience. Other things to note There is no washing machine at the property, however laundry liquid is provided for hand washing and a drying rack is provided in the shed. There is a self service launderette in Penrith if required. Please note that internet access is offered for recreational purposes only. It is not meant for business use as the speed and service may vary from time to time. No smoking, including E. Cigarettes inside the property but permitted in the courtyard garden. No candles or tea lights. (Battery operated candles are provided). No pets allowed.
