Description

This romantic off-grid treehouse retreat in rural Devon is ideal for couples, friends, or small groups looking to relax and reconnect in nature. Set among woodland treetops with views over tranquil hills, the stay includes a private deck for stargazing, a separate shepherd’s hut for added space, alfresco dining areas, and a hot tub to enjoy under the stars—offering a truly memorable eco stay without compromising on comfort. The space So there is a shepherds hut with two double beds (one is a couch bed), fully functioning kitchen with gas oven/grill and 4 hobs. Outside on the small lawn there is a table and 4 chairs looking out at the beautiful valley that frames the country sun sets. There is a private drive and parking right out side the hut. There is also a shower and compost loo with a tree house spare room tree, which has a double bed and basin inside. There’s also a fantastic fun bird watching and star gazing platform to enjoy, with a ladder and railings. Guests are entirely responsible for children and climbing the ladder safely and using common sense in the tree house. The hills all around are teaming with wild life as well as lambs in the surrounding field’s along with the usual farm yard animals. It’s generally an oasis of rural calm here but within easy reach of great shopping in Ashburton delicatessens or it’s famous dozen antique shops, Totnes markets and alternative culture, there’s so much to do…Beaches are a half hour drive away and Dartmoor is 15min’s. We also offer farm tours with Chris our friendly local farmer. Guest access All parts Other things to note This is a unique off-grid stay designed to offer a peaceful, back-to-nature experience. As such, a few things differ from a standard property: • The property is powered by solar energy, so electricity usage may be more limited than usual. • Gas is supplied via bottles rather than mains connection. • There is no fridge, but a cool box is provided for your use. • Water is sourced from a natural spring; while it has been used by the farm family for many years, it is not officially certified as drinkable. • Connectivity (WiFi/mobile signal) may be limited or intermittent. We kindly ask guests to embrace the off-grid nature of the stay and use resources mindfully during their visit.
