Located just one block off Historic Belleville's Main Street w/unique shops, restaurants, and many events. The house is an 1859 historic home located in downtown Belleville. The area is well-lit and considered safe. Access to the house's main floor is without any stairs from the street/sidewalk. There is a small parking spot behind the house, and a large, free public lot across the street. The house is a happy house making you step back in time, and you will feel it when you enter through the front door. Guests get to use the entire home, except for the basement. We are available by phone/text and live only minutes away to assist with any issues. The house is located in a quiet mixed residential and commercial neighborhood with historic homes and restaurants, bars, unique shops, coffee shops, gym, etc. Parking is plentiful and free. In addition to the parking spot behind the house, there is a public lot just across the street that nearby residents use as well. Gym, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, museums, unique stores start within one short block, less than one minute walk, away. Within a few minutes, you can walk to the East End park with disk golf and playground. The bike trail is a short ride through quiet neighbourhoods away. Public transit is available within one block (Bus service to MetroLink and other locations). MetroLink to St. Louis and STL airport is less than 10 min walk; there is also free parking at the MetroLink station. St. Clair County transit is also offering group taxi service from 6 am to 7 pm (The "Flyer") at very low cost. The home has been largely restored, but we are still working on a few odds and ends in-between guests to fully bring the home back; these are mainly cosmetic issues that should not affect your stay (trim work, etc.).
