The Creek is an original farmhouse built on a working farm. The entire 2 story home is an airbnb with the bottom repurposed for guests who will enjoy a private stay. Farm and forest wildlife call the more than 40 acres home. There is a beautiful view of the night sky,all the countryside and space available to relax and enjoy pastoral settings. Next to OldUS 33, close to OU campus. Spacious free parking for campers, boats, and outdoor gear. Pet friendly. The space The Creek is a cozy delight. An old farm house like house located on farm land. The Creek has over 40 acres of farm land with trails to explore. The house is 2 stories, the upper floor is storage and guests have the entire 1st floor. There is a fenced in area around front of house and deck for dogs to go out. There is a large barn up the hill that is home to 2 retired horses that love apples. While the Creek is a country retreat, it is 4.3 miles from Ohio University, it is located next to Old US Highway 33, 15min from Bailey's Trails, and right down the way from Shade Winery. It has 2 private bedrooms and one semi private pull out bedroom. If your staying for an Ohio University event, a Country retreat, or motorcycle adventure...The Creek meets all these needs. Guest access Guests can use all outdoor spaces, the fenced in yard, the walking trail up the hill and the Creek. The 2nd floor is storage. Other things to note House is located on a working farm. The Creek house has an independent automatic generator, which will turn on if power is lost in the area. The House has easy access on and off Old US Hwy 33, this means there is noise from the cars going by at night, we do provide a sound machine in the bedroom near the road and portable box fans in each bedroom for white noise. This farm house was originally built in the 1890s, and rooms have been added on. This provides rooms for you to spread out, but each room has flooring transitions. This farm is located in the country, and the Old 33 Hwy does not provide street lights, as we are not in the city. You should travel at a speed where you can see scenery and slow down at the parking lot turn. There is a large sign,'The Creek,' at the corner of the house, which you will turn immediately after you pass if coming from the City of Athens. The area yard in front of the house is fenced with a gate for dogs to go out, but it is not large.
