Built in 1903, Waterloo Homestead is now opening its doors to guests wishing to experience country life at its finest. The large historic brick homestead accommodates 12 guests in 6 bedrooms. The Waterloo Station property is a working sheep and cattle property located in the heart of the New England District of northern NSW. Set on 4000 acres, guests have the opportunity to relax and experience station life with many areas to explore during your stay. The space The large homestead has 6 bedrooms consisting of a main bedroom with a queen bed, ensuite and copper bath and fireplace. There is also a lounge area in the main bedroom (Sinclair Room). The second bedroom (McIntyre Room) has a king bed with ensuite and fireplace and overlooks the garden. The MacTaggart Room has a king bed with a full ensuite bathroom. All ensuite bathrooms have underfloor heating. 3 bedrooms consisting of a bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 queen bedroom and 1 king bedroom have a shared bathroom with separate toilet facilities. Guest access There are two main living areas consisting of the formal lounge room with comfortable linen couches and large seating areas with fireplace and heating. The library room/TV room leads out to the northern verandah and is wonderful room to relax in front of the open fireplace or enjoy the summer sunshine through the large glass windows. The dining room with its period ambience allows functions from the most casual to formal occasions. A meals room is located next to the kitchen facilities. Casual verandah dining facilities and seating areas are on the northern facing verandah . BBQ and dining facilities are available in the rear courtyard. A chef or prepared meals are available on request. Other things to note The park like gardens and tennis court facilities are for guests to enjoy. There are wonderful walks along the Wellingrove Creek and some great swimming areas in summer. You will find plenty to keep you busy with many hiking trails for the energetic guests, or perhaps try your hand at fossicking for sapphires in the creek. (guide available on request).
