Shearers Quarters - O’Connell

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The space The Shearer's Quarters provides guests an on-farm experience, with sheep often camped within close proximity to the cottage. The cottage is situated on a 3,000 acre working farm, which has been in our family for 4 generations so you are likely to see us with our working kelpies, moving stock, on motorbikes or the tractor. The Shearer's Quarters is only a short drive to the historic O’Connell Village, which includes O’Connell Hotel, The Rectory Store and Get Roasted Cafe for coffee, sweets, and light meals. Bathurst, with an abundant supply of things to see and do including Mount Panorama, is 20 minutes away. World-renowned Mayfield Garden is a short 20 minute drive away. Jenolan Caves is an easy day-trip, as are many Nature reserves such as Evans Crown for Bushwalking and recreational activities. The Shearer's Quarters Cottage has a smart TV (with VAST set-top box), NBN/Wi-Fi and a selection of Board Games. The cottage has been tastefully decorated and all beds are fitted with electric blankets. The cottage provides a comfortable and relaxed feel for guests. It is an older style cottage, reminiscent of visits from one's childhood and cherished memories. The cottage has a combined bathroom/laundry containing Toilet, over-bath shower and hand basin. Guest access You will have full access to the surrounding yard including carport. Other things to note In true Shearer's Quarter's style, access to the third bedroom is via Bedroom one.
