Just minutes from the farmhouse, you’ll find Lake Simcoe’s sandy public beaches—perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, jet-skiing, or simply relaxing by the water. Rentals are available nearby, so getting out on the lake is easy. Just around the corner, Hedge Road offers a peaceful scenic route along the shoreline—ideal for morning walks or bike rides—leading you to the historic Mossington Blue Bridge at the mouth of the Black River and also historical resort of Briars. Spend your afternoons exploring Jackson's Point Harbour and Lighthouse, crossing the iconic The Blue Bridge, and enjoying High Street’s cafés, local shops, ice cream spots, and laid-back bars and pubs by the lake or enjoy sandy beaches of Lake Simcoe. For a more active day, head to The ROC (Recreational Outdoor Campus) for hiking trails, biking, splash pad, playgrounds, and outdoor adventure courses—perfect for both families and groups. or spend the day at Sibbald Point Provincial Park with its wide beach and picnic areas — all within a short drive. Georgina is home to two free outdoor skating rinks . Snowshoeing, hiking and cross-country skiing, Snowmobiling , Snow kiting. Snowshoeing, hiking and cross-country skiing: A trip to Sibbald Point Provincial Park in the winter is filled with wintry views and a landscape that never disappoints. It's the best playground for winter walks, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing close to home. THE SPACE: This home sleeps 10 guests comfortably . However we can provide up to 5 single air-mattresses with all the bedding upon request. As we charge $25/per air mattress per day ,so please ensure you confirm the number of the air mattresses you need at least 1 day prior to check in. Firepit also is available to use. You need to bring your own wood. No access to the Pond for the safety reasons. **House rules ** -No smoking inside the cottage, ($300 will be charged for any evidence of smoking indoor) - NO PET ($500 fee) - Please consider quiet hours( 11PM- 8AM ) and No loud music in the backyard. -No Access to the Pond , the shed , chicken coop, yoga hall and Garage is allowed. -The pond freezes in winter however it is not safe to get on it. -The check in time is 4 Pm and check out is 10 Am .please let me know in advance if you require early check in or late check out. ( cannot guarantee it and a fee may apply) -Guest count cannot exceed 15 (including children) -Children must be supervised at all times to ensure their safety -WELL & SEPTIC: The cottage operates on a septic tank and the source of water is well. Also due to the septic operation it is very important that you do not flush any garbage (except toilet paper) down the toilet. SWIM SPA: 1-Guests must ensure that swim spa is covered any time it's not in use. 2- No GLASS at swim spa or around it at any point. 3- No food or drink at swim spa FIREWOOD :Guests must provide their own firewood. Never leave the fireplaces unattended at any time. The fireplace guard must be closed all the time. No one under 18 years of age shall use the Fireplaces. Use of any other material in the Fireplaces will result in the immediate termination of the Rental Agreement. No open flames, candles or outside fires in or around our property. -No PET **IMPORTANT: Don't leave any garbage/food out as it will draw wild animals(the property is in forest area) -No commercial photography , filming, party or events allowed without the host consent. -If guests are found to have had a party without host permission which results in extra cleaning, guests will be responsible for extra cleaning charges and in the unfortunate event of the disruptions alerting neighbors, GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY. ACCESS :Guests shall allow Homeowners and their agent (upon request) to enter the farmhouse at all times for purposes of repair, improvement, and inspection. Also, as we have to feed the chickens , you may see us around the chicken coop once a day. in winter chickens will be relocated to a location off the farm due to low temperatures. Guest access Enjoy the access to the entire building and the land "except": 1- Basement 2- Garage 3- Shed 4- Pond(due to safety concern) , 5- chickencoop 6- Yoga Hall free parking on the driveway for up to 12 common vehicles. Other things to note 1- It is a hobby farm and in spring and Summer we need to feed Chickens and water plant .So you will have exclusive access to the farmhouse but you will see us once a day to feed chickens. 2- upon booking we will ask for $1000 refundable security deposit. If all goes smoothly and no issues occur and no house rule is violated , rest assured that the deposit will be refunded within 48 hours after your check-out.
