Discover serenity at the Padre Island Canals! This townhouse provides a peaceful retreat by the water for quiet mornings and relaxation. Grab a paddle board, immerse yourself in a breathtaking sunrise experience, and witness beautiful birds soaring overhead while fish playfully splash in the water. Padre Island Canals offer unparalleled beauty, creating a haven for rejuvenation and connection with the natural wonders surrounding you. The space We tried to think of everything for our guests to make it a high quality experience. The master bedroom is on the second floor with a king bed, balcony over looking the canal, a full bathroom, and walk in closet. The guest room has a full bed, located on the first floor with an adjacent full bathroom. There’s a deck over the water with a boat lift available underneath. At night you can light up the deck with the outdoor lights. The dining/living room has a table for six, with a grill just outside on the deck. You can also sleep 3 in the living room. We’ve provided a self inflating air mattress and sheets if you need the extra bed. You can also sleep 1 or 2 on the couch. Beside the house - there’s paddle boards and a kayak for you and your friends to use to venture out on the water. If you’re not sure where to go, give us a call or send us a message. My wife and I do paddleboard tours on the canals. We can take you out for two hours, carry all of your beverages, and show you around the canals by way of water. Best of all, we make sure you make it back to the dock. Guest access Parking There are two designated parking spaces available for your use in front of the garage marked 2905: One space is directly in front of the garage door. The second space is to the right side of the driveway and is marked with a yellow line on the concrete. Boat Lift You are welcome to use the boat lift during your stay. Please handle it carefully: When changing directions (from up to down or down to up), pause for approximately 10 seconds and allow the motor to come to a complete stop before operating it in the opposite direction. A short water hose with a quick-disconnect fitting is located on the dock next to the fish cleaning station and may be used to flush your boat motor. Please do not leave the lift submerged when not in use. Saltwater exposure can damage the aluminum components. Paddleboards & Kayaks Guests are welcome to use the stand-up paddleboards and kayaks during their stay. Paddleboards are located beside the house and one is stored underneath the deck. Two kayaks are also available for guest use. Paddles are stored underneath the deck between the floor joists. Please note that we occasionally use the paddleboards with friends or guests. If we plan to access them during your stay, we will send you a message beforehand. We will not need to enter the house and will access the dock from the side of the property. If you're new to paddleboarding or would like a guided tour of the canals, feel free to send us a message. If our schedule allows, we'd be happy to take you out and show you around. Outdoor Water Access A water hose is located at the front of the garage and may be used to: Rinse sand from your feet Clean beach toys Rinse off chairs and other beach equipment Garage Storage & Firewood You're welcome to store sandy beach chairs, fishing gear, and other beach equipment in the garage. There is also firewood available in the garage that you're welcome to take to the beach for an evening bonfire. Please be sure to follow all local beach fire regulations and leave the area clean when finished. We hope you enjoy your stay and make the most of the waterfront amenities! Other things to note ### Pets We love pets and have a couple of our own. When we travel, we always pay the pet fee because we know that hosting pets requires additional cleaning and maintenance. If you plan to bring a pet, please make sure to indicate this when booking, regardless of the pet's size. Even the best-behaved pets create extra cleaning requirements, and the pet fee helps cover those costs. ### Canal, Dock, and Water Safety If you enter the canal, please use the ladder located at the end of the dock to safely get back out of the water. For your safety, please do not jump from the upper deck into the canal. The water near the concrete bulkhead is shallow—approximately 3 feet deep—and may contain unseen hazards beneath the surface. We also do not recommend walking in this area, as there may be sharp objects in the sand. Please stay clear of the pier pilings, as they are covered with barnacles that can cause serious cuts and scrapes. The canal becomes significantly deeper toward the center, with depths typically ranging from 10 to 12 feet. An orange life ring is mounted on the dock and is available for emergency use. If you choose to use the paddleboards or kayaks, please be aware that summer winds can become very strong. Make sure you are comfortable on the water and confident in your ability to paddle back to the dock before heading out. Always use good judgment and prioritize safety while enjoying the water.
