Walters Retreat Shepherds Hut at Nut Tree Farm

Walters Retreat Shepherds Hut offers a quiet countryside stay on a working goat farm on the edge of the Polden Hills with great views of the Mendip Hills. It is close to many Somerset attractions including Glastonbury Tor, Cheddar Gorge and the City of Wells. Its a great base for walking and cycling and is only 5 miles from the somerset coast. There are two local shops in walking distance and a Pub / Restaurant half a mile walk away The space The hut has an en-suite toilet with shower, double doors open to a raised deck area and there is an outdoor undercover area with seating and a charcoal fired BBQ. The hut has a microwave with grill function, an air fryer, a full size fridge with freezer compartment, coffee machine with capsules, 2 foldup stools and folding table for 2m people. Outside is a covered BBQ area with 4 chairs, table and charcoal BBQ. On the decking there are 2 chairs and small table. Guest access The hut has its own garden which is fenced but not totally secure for dogs. As we have sheep and goats in adjacent fields we do ask for dogs to be kept on a lead Other things to note We are happy for you to bring your pet dogs with you and the area is great for dog walking, there are many good foot paths. We also provide notelets on local walks in the area. We do not accept any dogs listed in the dangerous dogs act, including XL / American Bully
