The retreat is appointed with Galveston and this historic location in mind, named in honor of The Pearl Inn (originally Treasure Isle now the exciting Hotel Lucine!) and within easy waking distance from Porretto Beach, bike/golf cart rentals, Bishop’s Palace, restaurants and so much more! Outside you’re greeted by a peaceful deck and yard, outdoor shower, and a very short walk to the beach! We hope you spend the majority of your time exploring the beach and nearby attractions, but if you are looking for a relaxing getaway, enjoy the slow pace of island life and the rustle of palm fronds in the wind on The Pearl Cottage’s historic, relaxing front porch that feels miles away from traffic but only steps from the beach. The Pearl Cottage is located next door to the recently renovated and exciting Hotel Lucine - complete with restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and a rooftop bar with some of the best views on the island! *A plug and request - the Pearl Cottage is a piece of Galveston history. With that said, she is an old girl full of her own quirks. We ask that you consider your desire to stay in a historic home before you book with us. The AC is great but it will not get colder than ~74 when it is over 100 degrees outside. It just won't happen. The windows shake a bit in the Gulf breeze and the floor creaks. We love Galveston's historic homes and ask that you consider this before booking.
