Lovely 2-bed maisonette with garden close to river

An elegantly decorated & bright two-story maisonette with private garden , the river at the end of the road, and lots of lovely pubs, cafes and local shops around the corner. Equidistant between Barnes, Mortlake and East Sheen. The flat is split over two floors with a small balcony that leads down to the garden. It has been refurbished in a stylish way, with original features preserved. The train station into central London is 5min walk away and there are local buses from the end of the road. The space You have your own front door with a hallway that leads straight up a staircase to the first floor of the flat. Light streams in to the flat from morning until night so it feels serene and bright all day long. The kitchen is the biggest space at the back of the house with a large dining room next to a door that leads to a small balcony where you can sit for the morning sun, and from there, a staircase leads down to the garden. It has all the amenities you would expect, including a nutribullet and french press for morning coffee/juices. A washer/dryer and small dishwasher can be found here too. On the same floor is a double bedroom with an extremely comfortable 'simba' mattress kingsize bed with ample wardrobe space, next to a relaxing bathroom with a big bathtub, shower and underfloor heating for those winter nights. At the front of the house is a bright living room with a big sofa and my grandmother's super comfortable armchair! There is a TV that has all the freeview channels and has a cinema sound system if you want to connect your laptop to it for a movie session. In the same room is a neat office space with a big desk and chair for working remotely. This is also the room where the wifi works best in the house. Going upstairs into the loft extension is the second bedroom with an en-suite shower room, all refurbished to the highest standards. It's a lovely and cosy space. There is a big mirror and chest of drawers but note, not, a wardrobe due to space limitations. On this same floor is also my son's nursery which I have locked to keep all his toys and things out of sight :) Wifi is everywhere but not strong in the kitchen so I tend to use that space to have my tech time out in the mornings. However, it is strong enough to connect to the sonos music speaker there. My husband and I airbnb our home out often when he is in Uganda - this is when my son and I either move home to my parents (around the corner) or we travel too to East Africa, where I work part-time on a remote basis. If I am in London, I will be only 5 minutes walk away, so will be on hand to help. If I am in Africa, my parents can help with any issues you may have. Please note that our house is a maisonette which means we have a downstairs neighbour and all our gardens are very close to one another - so if you are looking for a place to party, this is not the place for you! We respect the quiet vibe of our family neighbourhood and are very considerate of the fact we have thin walls and someone living below us. If this sounds like the place for you to come and chill whilst in leafy suburbia, we welcome you to our home! Also please note, there are airplanes that fly to heathrow overhead and they are frequent - they bother some people who are sensitive to noise but no louder than many places in London. Guest access All of the flat with the exception of my son's nursery on the second floor of the house which will be locked. Other things to note My flat is 5 minutes to Mortlake train station which has trains every 10 minutes to London waterloo, clapham junction and vauxhall. The river is at the end of my road where you can jump onto the river path and walk in either direction round the beautiful towpaths. There are plenty of great pubs around here. It's also 10 minutes to Barnes village and only 5 to white hart lane which has loads of pubs, cafes and little shops to relax in. A great neighbourhood and village vibe!
