Welcome to High Desert Protocol, offered for the first time in its entirety. The Compound is HDP's flagship property that sleeps 16+ guests. Located next to public land, it spans 6 acres, 3 homes, 4 vintage renovated trailers, an art gallery/bedroom, and a converted boat. Our recent addition is the Quonset Hut - a large multipurpose event space (photos coming soon). With an 80 foot pool, hot tub, and 3 kitchens, this is the perfect place for weddings, gatherings, retreats and dinner parties. The space High Desert Protocol — A Secluded Creative Compound for Groups, Gatherings & Getaways Welcome to High Desert Protocol, a 6-acre sanctuary tucked into the hills above Yucca Valley—just a short drive from Pioneertown, Joshua Tree National Park, and the iconic Pappy & Harriet’s. Designed for creative communion, private restoration, and unforgettable gatherings, the compound features three distinct homes, three beautifully restored vintage trailers, a converted shipping container art gallery/bedroom, and a converted boat.The Compound can comfortably sleep up to 19 guests (and more with advance notice). We just completed the newest addition to our property - the Quonset Hut. Designed as a large multipurpose event space, the Quonset Hut can host dinner parties, events, parties, screenings, performances, and more. The Quonset Hut adds an additional bathroom to the property with a massive two-headed concrete shower. Designed by a musician, the Quonset Hut is fully equipped as a recording studio. Musicians please inquire about using the recording facilities. The energy is relaxed and clothing optional. Most guests go nude in the hot tub—it’s kept warm every evening. ✹ The Vibe We’ve built this space with care, over time. It’s a place of freedom, ease, creativity, and connection—with nature and each other. Many of our dearest friends were once Airbnb guests. Others come here and seek complete privacy. We honor both. This is an adults-only property. No one under 18 is permitted. We allow small events and gatherings with prior permission—please reach out if you're planning something special. ✹ A Few Ground Rules: Please rinse off before entering the pool/hot tub (no oils or sunscreen) Be respectful, kind, and aware—of others and the land Fire pit use is permitted only when there’s no wind and weather is safe. Guest access With a full compound rental, guests have access to every amenity: three houses, three kitchens (one fully stocked outdoor kitchen), four renovated trailers, one art gallery/bedroom, one converted boat, large outdoor dining area, 80-foot swimming pool, hot tub, and the recently launched Quonset Hut. Other things to note Please inquire about private chef services, massage appointments, sound baths, full compound rentals for events/shoots/parties/etc. No photo/video shoots unless approved by High Desert Protocol.
