The house is in a quiet private neighborhood on 1 acre of cove front property. There is an abundance of wildlife. Stairs lead down to the cove where you can walk the shore at low tide, birdwatch or hear fog horns. At high tide you can take our kayaks out. It's walking distance to Lamoine Beach Park and 35 min to Acadia. The classic but comfortable living space is all on the second level. Wifi & TV with cable, and air conditioning are all available. The basement/garage level has a washer/dryer. The space This is a waterfront property located along picturesque and tranquil Raccoon Cove. The house is perched on a bluff overlooking the water with stairs leading to the shoreline. The neighborhood is quiet and low key and away from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding areas. We have kayaks for up to 7 people, and bicycles for guest use. All linens, bath and kitchen supplies are provided, the kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils and we even have a closet full of board games and beach toys. This house is comfortable but not modern. If you are looking for a cabin in the woods vibe, or a waterfront sanctuary this is the place for you. Our back deck has a propane barbecue and in the back yard there is a fire pit for your enjoyment. We provide a starter bundle of firewood, and there is additional wood available for purchase from multiple local roadside stands. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house and every part of the property except for the separate free standing garage. Guest have access to the shore in front of the house and kayaks. Guests have access to laundry (washer/dryer) in the basement. Other things to note The house is located 20 miles (30 min drive) to the Hulls Cove entrance to Acadia National Park and 30 miles (45 min drive) to the Schoodic Peninsula. We do allow up to 2 well behaved dogs for an additional cleaning fee of $50. We only ask that you clean up after your dog, don't let the dog go onto the neighbors properties avoid excessive cleaning or damages. We do NOT have a fenced yard and there is wildlife including skunks and porcupines so dogs need to be supervised. All of the living space is on the second floor and requires stairs to access. We do provide kayaks and life jackets at the property. These are used at your own risk and the owners take no responsibility for your safety.
