Description

Located in an amphitheatrical position, formed by a row of hills and opens with threshing floors, a windmill, and a dovecote, along with four other independent, elegant and spacious residences. The dovecote, which in the past was a key building in many properties in the Cyclades islands, was renovated and turned into a 60 sq.m. residence which can accommodate up to 5 people, on three levels and is fully equipped. The space In Sifnos, on top of a hill, in the traditional settlement of Apollonia, the painter and engraver Kiki Voulgareli created "Art houses Sifnos", a stone-built paradise, which she envisaged as a permanent work of art. She restored a windmill, a dovecote as well as the houses and outbuildings that made up an estate, transforming them into 5 spacious houses, each with its own distinct character and decorated with works from her personal collections. Kiki, set up there her artistic workshop, where she spends a large part of her time, drawing her inspiration from the landscape. Traditional steps lead to courtyards spread on different levels around the residences, with unrestricted views of the open horizon, the traditional settlement of Apollonia, the surrounding mountains and towards the fiery red west of Kamares. Pebbles, stone tables and sofas, surrounded by the plants of the island, create corners for reading, relaxing, sharing food or conversation, in the sun and the open horizon. For your comfort and convenience “Art houses Sifnos” has a free private parking from where the traditional steps lead to the entrance of the complex. Peristeronas (Dovecote) The wooden windows, the traditional ceiling made of chestnut wood and the tiled floor create a picturesque atmosphere of the lodge, which is equipped with all the comforts.
