From here, Emeryville Bay Street shopping /food scene is just a few minutes away; 3 minutes drive to the Bay Bridge which connects to San Francisco - visiting parts of San Francisco could be easier than staying in the city itself. It’s at the Berkeley / Emeryville border, just 10 minutes away from Downtown Oakland. 3 minutes drive to enter highway which takes you to the rest of EastBay easily. Newly built and designed in 2022 by legendary local developer, it has been certified by the City of Oakland as a LEED building ( Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design ) meeting the City of Oakland’s Green Building requirements by meeting a 23-point threshold in the categories of community; indoor air and water quality, resource and water conservation of the Green Point Rated system. Open Living / Dining / Kitchen The first level of the house is the living/open kitchen/dining area; 12 feet super high ceiling with skylight. 43 inch TV with 155 digital channels as well as amazon prime video, Netflix, Hulu and Disney. There's queen mattress in the closet, if you have an additional guest traveling with you. It’s joy to watch the dancing flame of the electric fireplace in winter nights with your favorite drinks. PRIVATE GARDEN The garden is fully fenced with your private entrance; lemon tree, bougainvillea, bird of paradise, the extremely fragrant gardenia, ferns and succulents… have coffee or afternoon tea in the garden, read a book or simply be… we are pet friendly but limited to 1 pet and 45lbs. HEATING / AC - AC unit on loft floor keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Note that heating takes about a minute to start once turned on. FIREPLACE - we keep the electrical fireplace with warm flames on for your arrival in the winter months; you may choose have the heater on or off with a remote control. KITCHEN / DINING - An open kitchen with dining space, we have everything you might need for a simple meal, tea/coffee. If you still need something, simply send us a message. BEDROOM - the bedroom is a very special, cozy space features a large scale wall mural “Golden Dream” hand painted by artist. Second AC/Heating unit in the bedroom. There’s a small couch that can fold down and turn into a small bed; if you have small children with you this can be very convenient. LAUNDRY - Washer/dryer in unit, we have laundry detergent in the kitchen cabinet for you as well. PARKING - we do not have designated parking space but street parking in the area is very easy and safe! West Oakland Urban Farm Park - It is a 1.4 acre working urban farm, educational space, and outdoor recreation site. Although they have chickens and goats, no you cannot hear any roosters in the morning :) It is just half a block away across the street. The park/farm has a playground for kids and is very family friendly; however pets are not allowed; open hours are short; 11:00-5:00 daily. Guest access Villa Opal is a standalone house with its own private yard. You will have the entire house all for yourself; nothing is shared. Other things to note -This space is set up primarily for 2 adults to feel comfortable. While the sofa bed can accommodate 2 additional guests, we do not recommend booking for more than 2 people unless you are a family and try to stay together. -Must be able to climb stairs -NO events or Parties -Must communicate about your pet(s) before arriving -Ring security camera outside of the building by entrances.
