This comfortable, fully equipped, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, ocean front cottage has stunning views of Blue Hill bay. We are located in West Tremont, between Bass Harbor & Seal Cove, on the western side of Mt. Desert Island, minutes from Acadia National Park. Some of the best hiking is on this side of the island. Enjoy views from the large wrap around deck or sit on the rocks feet from the ocean to enjoy sunsets and listen to the loons. PETS ARE WELCOME - NON SMOKING We are seven mi. from Southwest Harbor’s stores & restaurants, and Bar Harbor is only 20 miles away. There is a fully equipped kitchen, washer & dryer, and heaters in both bathrooms, downstairs bedrooms and the main area for cool coastal mornings. Sea breezes provide cooling on hot days, fans are provided. Upstairs bedroom with king bed, small private deck and bath with shower. Downstairs bedroom with queen bed, bedroom with two twin beds, bathroom with full shower and bathtub. Gas grill, Wifi, Cable TV, DVD, plenty of parking, and screened shed for storage of bikes. There are houses along this shore, we do have neighbors on both sides, but the area retains a rural feel with woods and trails and much wildlife. We are on the rocky Maine coast, you can sit and climb on the rocks at the water's edge but it is difficult to launch kayaks from the rocks. There are many launch sites (sea and lake) nearby as well as a rental directly on a nearby lake. This is our family’s seasonal cottage which we welcome you to share. We live in the house for several months each year so it is set up as our home, not just as a rental, and is very comfortable. The view is amazing! Note: Weekly rentals only. Saturday to Saturday.
