Kayaking there are 3 places I would recommend for rentals in first would be Lake George Kayak Co. 5 Boathouse Ln. Bolton Landing, NY 12814 518-644-9366, not the closest but I would recommend them first approx. a 8 min drive to Bolton, Bolton Landing is also a beautiful quaint town to spend a day walking around it has shopping and nice restaurants.... Second is Lake George Boat Rental 204 Canada St. Lake George NY 12845 518 685 5331..this is closer out to the village approx. 2 miles. Lastly, there is Kayak Lake George 22 Lake Ave. Lake George NY 12845 518-302-6005 again out of the village of Lake George. Now if you bring your kayaks..I would launch at Hearthstone State Park..it is beautiful! You would drive there as well, only about 1/2 mile.. it is $10 per car 65 and over, if applicable, may get a discounted rate or free entrance to park on certain days. They have a launch, parking and very easy to get in and out. The park has facilities, picnic tables and a sandy beach you get to use as well. Biking is very popular at Lake George. You could bike to the village of Lake George it is approx. 2 to 3 miles each way.. there are also MANY bike trails is you visit..Lakegeorge.com it has information on biking. I provide informational maps, at the house, on the bike trails they are fantastic and scenic.
