The beaches are characterized by fine white sand with numerous shores. The seabed is generally shallow, making it ideal for families with children. Ten minutes away by car you can reach the town of Torre San Giovanni, with its beaches and the promenade that, especially in the evening, comes alive for the numerous shops and clubs and where you can, sitting at one of the bars in the area, enjoy a typical Salento aperitif waiting for the sunset and experience a magical atmosphere of lights and colors as Salento knows how to give its visitors. On the beach of Torre San Giovanni, where there was once the ancient port of Ugento, its remains dating back to the 4th century B.C. are still visible.
