The space Enjoy our entire lower-level living space in this waterfront split-level home with a PRIVATE ENTRANCE via ELEVATOR. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchenette, and a private elevator entrance offering self-check-in using our smart lock. We also provide a single mattress, sheets, and a folding bed frame (found in the master bedroom closet) that can be easily set up in the hallway of the main living area. Note: the owners, Brian & Carrie, live on the premises in the upper unit. Each bedroom and the main living room has an independent mini-split A/C unit for absolute temperature control! Rear walkout doors offer relaxing water views with a covered outdoor sitting area. There is a large-screen television with premium cable in the living room while each bedroom has a TV with an Amazon Fire Stick. Our private pier includes 4 kayaks (3 singles and 1 tandem sit-on-top) available April 15 through October 15. NEW for 2026! Our 15ft aluminum jon boat with 5hp outboard motor is also included during your stay! Enjoy basking in the sun on our private beach equipped with Adirondack chairs and natural shade. Children are welcome, but please be aware of the natural hazards present near water and the woodline. This require close supervision of children, depending upon their age. You will park directly outside your private elevator entrance. Our driveway and house lights are on motion sensors for your convenience and safety. The kitchenette features a Keurig coffee maker (including a sampling of coffee pods, sweetener, and creamer), microwave/convection oven/air fryer combination, mini-fridge, electric skillet, and single burner cooktop with a variety of pots and pans. Are you a cyclist? Bring your bikes and enjoy the quiet country roads of Calvert County and the water views of the Patuxent River and Chesapeake Bay. We have multiple routes available, from just a few miles to over 100! Calvert Cliffs State Park and Flag Ponds Nature Park offer sandy beaches on the Chesapeake Bay. These beaches are known worldwide for yielding some amazing finds to fossil hunters. History buff? St. Leonard Creek is home to the largest naval engagement in Maryland's history - The Battle of St. Leonard Creek. Commodore Joshua Barney and his flotilla fought bravely and slowed the advance of British forces set on invading Washington. Fort Hill Getaway sits on the grounds of the Fort Hill Battery Site, where the elements of the 36th U.S. Infantry and U.S. Marines established an encampment to protect the U.S. Chesapeake Flotilla’s left flank. NOTE: There is a 450-foot-long, asphalt-paved path to the pier, which is fairly steep for a small distance. Guest access You will have access to the entire lower level of our split-level home with a private entrance, the entire backyard and pier, and use of the covered patio outside your back door. We have patio furniture and a gas firepit for you to enjoy, as well as, an outdoor ping-pong table! Other things to note Inquire about the availability of a 15ft jon boat with 5hp outboard motor (subject to availability, at additional cost). We are pet-friendly but be aware we have a herd of deer on the property. If your pet is inclined to chase them, you may want to consider keeping them on a leash.
