The space The 1916 Craftsman is available after nearly 2 years of historical renovations. Our home is IDEAL for guests in town for special events - our home is centrally located in town and is one of the few properties with two full bathrooms. Enter the home through the main entrance directly in to the living room. The ceilings are high and the space is large enough to entertain. The living room offers several intimate areas for reading, playing cards and games, watching TV, perhaps checking in on work. Off to the side is the sun room, the perfect place for coffee or tea in the morning or cocktails in the evening. 7 windows in the sun room offer the view of the quaint street out front and a great spot to gaze at the beautiful historic homes across the street. The dining room sits at the center of the home and is an entertainers dream. Beautiful built in cabinets. Distinguished lighting. Bold wallpaper. Elegant vintage stemware, silverware and serving china, available to you in the sideboard. The gorgeous kitchen provides the perfect mix of vintage charm and high end amenities, perfect for the weekend chef. Professional grade gas stove, charcoal filtered grill venting, copper cookware, cutlery, utensils, build in icemaker - everything you would expect. Casual dining dishes are stored in the kitchen cabinets for your everyday use. 2 of the 3 bedrooms are on the main level, each with a new Sealy Queen mattress, fresh linens and pillows. The 3rd bedroom is the only room upstairs and contains 2 queen size beds, Sealy mattresses and new linens. The bedroom is quite large and a unique space. The bedroom is private but does not have a door. Central air cooling is provided through out the house and an additional cooling unit is available for use in the upstairs bedroom as needed. Each of the 2 full bathrooms are on the main floor and have been completely renovated. The primary bath boasts a floor to ceiling glass spa shower. The spacious en-suite bath features a deep soaking tub and shower. Each bathroom is stocked with plush bath linens, bath products and paper goods. Extra towels, linens, first aid necessities, bath products are all stored in the hallway linen closet. We took great care to update and enhance the old school radiators, which we love. Radiators keep each room cozy and warm during the cool months. Newly installed central air throughout keeps the home crisp and cool in the warm summer months. All managed to your comfort level by you. A full size washer and dryer is available for your use. We provide laundry soap for a load or two for your convenience. We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean and beautiful home. Many guests who have allergies love our home since we do not allow pets of any kind, not even for brief visits. There are several great hotels and Airbnbs in the area that are pet friendly. Although we love cats and dogs (we have 2 of each in our personal home!!) it is important to us that we maintain a fur and dander free home for our guests. *** Update November 2025 - we recently installed a new fence and deck along with new landscaping. Please feel free to enjoy sitting on the deck, accessible right off the breakfast nook.
