The Island in Oxfordshire

A real island in the middle of a lake with access only by boat. Two small boats are provided on a hire agreement (cost included for 2 drivers). The space A private island in the middle of a waterskiing lake in the grounds of Hardwick Parks, Oxfordshire. You will have exclusive access to The Island. The actual house is huge! It sleeps up to 22 people. It has 8 bedrooms one of which is a dorm style room that sleeps 8. Please note that Airbnb prices only go up to 16 guests. We can add additional guests on for an additional price, please enquire. So 8 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a beautiful dining room & family room complete with a pool table foosball, X-Box, huge wood burner, fireplace and hanging chair. Outside you will have sole use of the “Wonky” Bar (not stocked) Arctic Spa hot tub, BBQ area, pizza oven, table tennis table, hammocks swings and plenty of green areas. Whether you are fishing or watching the water skiers go round, we’re sure you’ll enjoy this unique holiday let. We can also help with Watersports bookings, private chefs, private magician, mixologists & pampering. Guest access You will have exclusive access to The Island. Other things to note This is a private island in the middle of a lake but I’m afraid we don’t own the lake. We only have access rights across the lake and areas around the perimeter of the island that are suitable for fishing. If you would like to do watersports then these are available at the next door lake (Hardwick Watersports) for an additional fee. Our water comes from a bore hole and is treated and regularly tested by the council. Our drainage system does not cope with wipes, nappies etc.. we supply bins for disposal of these. You are on an island surrounded by water and with this comes nature; ducks, geese, moorhens, coots, bats but also the smaller ones:- gnats/midges around April, spiders(we like them..they eat the flies)! wonderful dragonflies and then September …wasps...although last year there weren't many of them thankfully!
