Amazing Secret Suite with rock star history

The biggest bedroom in the heart of London, with sleeping, dining and sitting areas, and a private full-size bathroom. Once a private party venue for Britpop bands, now an ‘Oasis’ of calm in the ‘Blur’ of London, our apartment is centrally located - an easy walk to the West End, Covent Garden, River Thames, British Museum, Oxford Street, Tate Modern and much more. Farringdon Station (Zone 1) is just 5 minutes walk, with direct connections to most airports. Note: we have two friendly cats! The space The space is a mixture of sumptuous furnishings, vintage finds and industrial chic. The bedroom has a cool four poster bed with an incredibly comfortable $6000 mattress and huge mirrors salvaged from a vintage store. You have a private full-size bathroom with a lovely shower and a double-ended bath - perfect for a relaxing candle-lit soak after a long day of sightseeing. There is a sofa that can be set up as a bed for those who want to sleep separately, but please let me know in advance. There is an additional fee of £10 a night for this. (Please note this booking is for 2 people only. Additional guests will be charged at £30 a night) The room is in a huge apartment split over two levels. Your rooms are on the lower ground floor (Note - there is a lightwell but no view) Your bedroom and private bathroom are next to each other but are two separate rooms. Guest access In addition to the rooms, Guests can use the small kitchen in the apartment when it is not in use, to prepare light meals. (Please note there is no oven - just a microwave, grill and hob.) Please eat in your own room as the kitchen is too small. Please ensure to clear the kitchen and wash-up any items you use! There is a washing machine in the kitchen, and I can provide a drying rack. Please note - the washer is there for occasional use, not to wash 3 months worth of clothes! There is a launderette nearby if you have a lot of washing to do. During your stay PLEASE NOTE this is a family apartment. I live and work from home am happy to provide recommendations and advice about this amazing city. My two grown-up children also live here. We enjoy hosting and are happy to provide personal recommendations and advice and help you with your stay. But if you want staff, please stay in a hotel! There are two cats in the apartment. They are very friendly and enjoy attention, but guests with strong cat allergies are advised to look elsewhere (Please note the cats are Balinese and unlikely to trigger a strong allergic reaction, but this cannot be guaranteed. They are not allowed in guest bedrooms. Other things to note Please note that - This room is by far the largest room you will find on here in central London, and offers incredible value for money - We are in central London, and this is on the lower ground floor so there is no view. There is some natural light from a lightwell - You will be lulled to sleep by the distant rumble of passing traffic but it is a pretty quiet area especially after 10pm (or 12 on weekends) - Please review the photos and feel free to message with any questions!
