The space Our family-run Guest Cottage is located in beautiful Point Dume, Malibu, offering a warm and inviting retreat just minutes from the beach. The primary king bedroom is located downstairs and includes a full bathroom with a shower. As you enter the cottage, you are welcomed into a light-filled living room with soaring vaulted ceilings and a plush Restoration Hardware Cloud couch, creating a comfortable space to relax. The focal point of the room is a dramatic floor-to-ceiling stone wall with a gas fireplace, bringing warmth and character to the space. Large windows and glass french doors allow natural light to pour in and open toward the outdoor turf, creating an airy Malibu indoor-outdoor feel. A round dining table sits beside the kitchen french doors, perfect for morning coffee or casual meals. The living area flows into a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator and dishwasher, making it easy to cook and enjoy meals at home. Upstairs is an open loft with two queen beds and a desk workspace, along with a convenient half bath. Outside, guests can enjoy a gated and turfed yard, perfect for small dogs. Just beside the deck is a spacious six-person hot tub with a TV positioned above it for ultimate lounging. A gas grill is also available nearby for outdoor cooking. Guest access Private Little Dume Beach Key: For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests may request access to the exclusive Little Dume private beach. Per HOA regulations, an application, lease agreement, and copy of a driver’s license or passport must be submitted one week prior to arrival to help avoid delays. Beach access is a privilege managed by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and approval timing cannot be guaranteed on the day of arrival. • Dog Policy: Dogs are welcome on the private beach except during peak summer hours from Memorial Day through Labor Day, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. • Golf Cart policy: A private golf cart designated exclusively for the guest cottage is available for cruising through the beautiful Point Dume neighborhood or heading to Zuma Beach for surfing, beach walks, or sunset dinners. A signed waiver is required before using. Keep plugged in when not in use. Other things to note • Jacuzzi Maintenance: Our spa technician services the jacuzzi each Tuesday around 10:00 AM. • Gardening: Our gardener visits Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. He primarily works around the main house and is very discreet, occasionally clearing leaves near the guest house if needed. • Gym: Guests may use the communal gym located in our detached garage. It includes two Woodway treadmills, workout benches, dumbbells, and a water cooler. • Electric Bikes: Our electric bikes are available for guest use when available and not undergoing maintenance. We’re happy to share them as a courtesy for exploring Point Dume. We do our best to ensure guests enjoy privacy and a peaceful stay while maintaining the property for everyone’s comfort.
