Northeast Cozy Cottage

Keep it simple at this peaceful & centrally-located cottage oasis. You will love the character and charm of this >115 year old cottage, upgraded w/ all the modern amenities! The home is nestled down a quiet residential street, yet close to all that Northeast and downtown Minneapolis have to offer. A great choice for respite, booking family get-aways, girls trips, retreats, or for longer stays visiting loved ones. Walkable/bikeable to countless restaurants/shops/coffee/breweries & entertainment. The space BEDROOMS All three bedrooms are on the second level along with the bathroom. The first bedroom has a queen size bed, dresser with mirror, closet, television (with fire tv) and a chair. The second bedroom has a queen size bed with desk, dresser, closet and side table. There are reading lights situated above the bed. The third bedroom is accessed by walking through the second bedroom and is staged as a kids sleeping area (aka “the kids nook”) and has a single bed as well as a full sized futon bed. Both of these kids sleeping areas have fun lighting options that kids seem to love. All bedrooms have USB ports for charging devices. There is also a pack and play available for use if needed. BATHROOM The bathroom has a full sized tub/shower and plenty of shelving and storage. Turkish towels are provided. There is a filled shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispenser in the tub area. Under the sink you will find extra toiletries and a hair dryer/diffuser and a curling iron. KITCHEN On the main floor, you will find a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, ice maker, microwave, fridge/freezer, pots and pans, blender, popcorn popper and a coffee bar with drip/keurig/tea kettle options. Other provisions included are tea/coffee/olive oil/basic spices and popcorn. LOUNGE The lounge has of a very comfortable sectional sofa, Papasan chair, small table/chair and bench. There is an entryway closet and as wall hooks to hang any outdoor gear. A large 60” roku television is mounted on the wall and can be angled to view from other rooms. There is an Eco friendly fireplace for those cozy nights in. DINING The dining area has a table that seats 8 comfortably, and two day bed loungers. These daybeds both convert to lay flat and serve as two additional single beds (bedding is located in storage packs underneath each daybed). There is a beautiful buffet/display cabinet that contains books/games and other essentials. The drawers can double as a dresser for clothing if there is a larger group booked. WORKSPACE There is a dedicated more private workspace area adjacent to the kitchen that has a desk. Also there is a desk space in the second bedroom. BASEMENT The basement is unfinished and is currently being used as a laundry space that contains a washer/dryer/drying rack/ironing table. BACKYARD The backyard has a three-season screened in porch with outdoor dining space that can seat 9. This is a great space for a nice meal or game night (weather permitting). There is also a fire pit and a gas grill provided. In the warmer months, there is a beautiful tiered garden. The yard is fully fenced in but does have some small gaps so leash walking is recommended especially with small dogs. A stairway leads to the back garage equipped with bikes for use (at your own risk). Also accessible is the back alleyway for garbage and recycling collection.
