Description
Turnastone Yurt is situated on a two acre smallholding in a young birch wood, in the heart of the Golden Valley, just 25 minutes drive from both Hay-on-Wye and Hereford. The space The accomodation is simple and comfortable. There is double bed with a woodburner to keep you warm. A small, basic kitchen in the roundhouse near by as well as a compost loo and shower a few steps away. Please note that this is a camping experience. There will be mud and rain, sun and wind. Once the fire is going the yurt is cosy and warm. The shower and toilet are in a little wooden outbuilding amongst the trees that has no space heating. Guest access Guests are free to be in the garden. There is a pond, so please be careful not to fall in. They are not deep, but you will get wet! There is a footpath through the woods above the yurt. Over the road is Crow Wood and Meadow - a Wildlife Trust Nature reserve. During your stay There is usually someone around to answer questions. If we are out, please feel free to contact either me or Ben. Other things to note We have a dog called Tinker. Although she may bark at first, she is friendly and good natured. If you have trouble lighting the fire, please do ask one of us - we will be happy to help. Once the fire is lit and going well, it is a good idea to close all the vents on the stove
