Sparrow Cottage

This bright, cheerful, and clean cottage is a little home away from home! Walking distance to Downtown Asheville, local shopping, restaurants and night life and easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounding attractions. The space Live like a local! Sparrow Cottage is a clean and cozy one bedroom, one bath house only a half mile from UNC-Asheville, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods local market, Harris Teeter supermarket, a local diner and a coffee shop. It's an easy one-mile walk to the heart of Downtown with its great restaurants, galleries, shopping and nightlife. The space is inviting, clean and bright! The front door opens out to a great front porch with a sitting area, perfect for a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine! The yard is grassed and fenced. The open floor plan includes a living room, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The full bathroom has a tub and shower combo. The bedroom offers a comfy queen-size bed, closet, chifferobe and nightstands. The loveseat in the living room converts to a full size sleeper with deluxe foam mattress. The cottage is located on a main street with 35 mph posted speed limit so there is some noise but most guests do not find that a problem. A new fire station a block away is designed so the noise of exiting fire engines is directed away from the cottage, and the engine circles back into the bay with no beeping. There is only one engine at the station and it has not caused a problem for guests or neighbors in the surrounding area. A sound machine is provided. Please read my reviews. Cleanup and recovery is well under way across the region. Sparrow Cottage and the surrounding area, including downtown, did not flood and much of the physical damage that occurred has been cleaned up. Asheville is open for business and pleasure!
