3BD vacation paradise on serene 55 acre lake
Open concept 3BD lake house on a quiet 55 acre lake. New construction, the home is great year round, with a toasty fireplace, and outdoor fire pit on an acre of wooded land. Huge wraparound deck, designed in an urban rustic aesthetic. Minutes from town and its supper clubs, bars, gift shops and grocery store. Feet from snowmobile/ATV trails and a public boat launch (as well as a pier in the backyard to the lake). Fun, privacy and fresh air, less than three hours from Milwaukee. The space Three bedrooms, two full baths. Master bedroom attaches to the bathroom. Beautiful lake views from the living room, dining area and kitchen. Pier, deck and picnic table offer extra place to work and think. Close to town but secluded, too. Watch the sunset over the lake from the pier and listen to the frogs croak, as deer walk across the property, stopping to see who is sharing the land. The water is quite shallow off our pier, but you can swim off the public boat launch across the lake. She shed included (just ask for the padlock code). Guest access It’s all yours to play and unwind! Other things to note The quality of the lake depends on the season and how much snow we get the winter before. Water levels are higher in the spring, and it gets weedier later in the summer. It freezes over in the winter. There are no wake restrictions on the lake, and it has a maximum reported depth of 26 feet in the bay part off the public boat launch. Mostly, this is a good fishing, kayaking and pontoon lake, but we’ve used it for swimming many times (if you paddle to the bay part). Unless we had an extremely snowy winter, it’s tough to do much off our pier once July rolls around, although we have certainly launched kayaks and paddle boats off it for years. The easiest way to get a fishing boat or pontoon boat into the water is from the public boat launch, and fortunately, there are several giant lakes within minutes from the cottage. Also: it typically doesn’t get that hot in northern Wisconsin, but please note that the home doesn’t have central air conditioning. There are two ceiling fans and numerous fans throughout, but if it gets too toasty, we have two window units stored in the she shed. You may use them, but please put them back before you leave.
