There are ample sacred healing sites such as Glastonbury Tor, Chalice Well, the red and white springs, and Glastonbury Abbey. Glastonbury is situated on ley lines that flow through the centre, which leads people to believe that Glastonbury is the heart chakra of the world. Steeped in medieval history, diverse cultures and alternative music and arts, brimming with positive energies, there is an abundance of interesting, quirky people and places around every corner. For a more down to earth visit, submerge yourself in some of the best coffee and cakes around, in the charismatic and charming cafes. Alternatively have a browse around the thriving and unique shops that line the high street. When the sun goes down, most evenings you will find the hustle and bustle of live music and scrumptious local food on the daily, an experience like no other town. If you are lucky, you might catch the distant sounds of drumming coming from the Tor. Near by places also worth a visit The historic city of Wells, home of the cathedral, which gives Wells the title of smallest city in the UK. Visit Street to shop until you drop at Clarks village retail outlet shopping centre, or the infamous Wookey Hole Caves and Cheddar Gorge will not disappoint, if you have the time to stop by.
