The Izer Treehouse is an incredible off-grid retreat. Nestled in a secluded setting amongst the tree-tops overlooking the Bull Run River Canyon, it's the perfect hideaway for couples seeking a romantic escape or BFFs looking for an adventurous getaway. Follow the path and bridge through the trees to your own little treetop oasis. This standalone space rests 30 feet above the forest floor and is perfect for reconnecting with nature and getting away from real-life. Outside: Through French Doors guests will find a stunning back deck perched 30 feet in the air, offering a birds-eye view. Relax with a glass of wine at the scenic bar-top overlooking the canyon while taking in the clean air, sounds of the river below and enjoying the star filled skies. A tiny pellet stove keeps you cozy and warm on the deck. (Note - the pellet stove can not be used during burn bans). Inside: The Treehouse has a luxurious queen-size bed with a memory foam mattress in a lovely upstairs loft. Soft cozy sheets and plenty of warm blankets have been provided for you to snuggle up in. In the main room you can cozy up with a good book or game (several are provided for your enjoyment) or just enjoy each other’s company on the comfy love seat. There is a charming “Kitchenette” area where a stunning rock sink with non-potable water can be used to rinse dishes or wash your face. A variety of teas, hot chocolate and a French press are provided along with fresh water for drinking. Pots, Pans and a kettle are provided for use on the deck camp stove. A propane heater keeps you cozy and warm inside. The Treehouse is off-grid so there is no TV or Wi-fi to distract you from the wonderful surroundings. Limited Power is provided by rechargeable batteries. You will have about 7-8 hours of power per day. If you run several things at once, including the lights, the batteries will run down faster so use it sparingly. If you run out of batteries a lantern is provided as back up along with a couple headlights to help you navigate to the outhouse. NOTE: The only cook source is the bbq outside on the deck. What You should bring: Food, drinks, a cooler & ice, extra flash-light. A charged blue-tooth speaker if you want music. Extras: For those booking (more than 2 nights) – We offer access to a private indoor bathroom and shower across the street and a short walk from the treehouse. A map will be provided. We will also swap out the batteries after a 2 day stay. Other things to note: Please note, this is a Glamping experience, not a hotel stay. In keeping with its eco-credentials, Toilet facilities are provided in a composting sawdust outhouse that is located separately, a few meters away nestled amongst the hillside and trees. Please note **there are no showering facilities on site** but if you are staying more than 2 nights you will have access to a shower. Although the Treehouse is very well built and very safe, It's still 30ft in the air in spots and not child safe. Please be safe, smart and considerate. Our treehouse is designed so the trees can still move and grown. Some movement and noises are to be expected. Headlights are provided for emergency use and for the trip to the compost toilet. Cot available on request for those not wanting to share the bed. You might not have great mobile phone service depending on your carrier. That being said, while our treehouse feels very isolated, we are only 10 minutes from Sandy Oregon, the Gateway to Mount Hood! Grab a Donut at World Famous “Joes Donuts”, Coffee and a treat at “Mt Moka”, enjoy a brew at our favorite local watering hole “The Beer Den” and enjoy a large variety of restaurants both in Sandy and surrounding areas. Sandy is only 20 minutes to world class Mt Biking at “Sandy Ridge”, 40 minutes from Timberline Lodge and close to a large variety of Mt. Hood forest hiking. Your options are unlimited! Check out our "guidebook" for more ideas. We provide self-check in. You will be sent instructions and the key code prior to arrival. Treehouse Rules: Check-in: 2:00 PM / Checkout: 11:00 AM • Not suitable for children, infants or Pets • No parties or events • Not ADA accessible. You must be able to navigate semi-steep stairs to the treehouse and a ships-ladder to the sleeping loft. • No Smoking on or around the site! With Oregon’s recent wildfires we are very environmentally sensitive. No open flames of any kind are permitted. Be kind to the forest and the trees, they are keeping our air fresh and holding you up.
