The space The Space A cozy one-room cabin where the day slows down the moment you step inside. The wood-burning stove is your heat source, filling the space with a deep, crackling warmth. The wood stove doubles as a simple cooktop for breakfast or small meals. A BBQ sits outside for easy outdoor cooking. Firewood is provided in the winter; and a complimentary bundle is provided in spring/summer and fall. Additional large bundles can be purchased for $15/each. Books, games, and complimentary warm beverages are ready for quiet, candlelit evenings. Dish Service No dishes to worry about. Marked totes are provided for our dish service - just send a quick message for a fresh set, or leave them until checkout for full privacy. The cabin is fully prepped for your arrival so you can settle in and unwind right away. Off-Grid Living (power & water) There is no running water or electricity - just stillness, firelight, and a slower rhythm. A water jug of potable water is provided in summer and limited bottled water in winter due to freezing. We recommend bringing extra for our thirsty travelers. A small wash stand is available inside. Bathroom The private outhouse is just steps from the cabin - simple, clean, and part of the off-grid experience. The Setting A privacy treeline between the main house and the cabin create a natural sense of privacy, while the open pasture beyond offers wide skies, soft foggy mornings, and incredible stars at night. You may hear tree frogs in the evening and feel the quiet settle in around you. The sunsets are incredible out here. Nearby Wabamun lake, Seba beach and Farmers' markets on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. Mini golf and ice cream in the village. Berrymoor bridge on the river for gem hunting or fishing a short drive. Hike the trails at Pembina River or go for a day of tubing. Amazing restaraunts nearby with the best burgers, pizza, and more. A local guide is available once checked in. A caretaker is nearby if needed, and optional farm extras, like fresh eggs or sheep tours can be arranged. Guest access This space is entirely yours. No other rentals on the property. We sit on 11 acres, with some fenced pastures for the sheep. There is access from the main site along the pastures, to the forest and behind the property for hiking. Please be aware horses use this pasture, and accessing is at your own risk. Hiking trails at Wabamun lake and Pembina River are a short drive and a great way to spend the day. In the winter please be prepared as snow can be deep. Great for cross country skiing, winter enthusiasts, or curling up with a good book by the fire. Other things to note Caretakers are distanced from the cabin separated by a tree line and and available for text concierge service from noon and 7pm should you need anything. Make sure you bring a cooler if you would like to have cold food stored. This is a shed converted to a one room tiny cabin. It's cute. It's different. It's cozy and stocked for convenience as if you'd never want to leave. Your first bundle of wood is complimentary to get you started. Additional large bundles can be purchased for $15 each. Queen sized bed with plenty of blankets and clean linens, little kitchenette area for food prep with table comfortably.
