Classic Family Beach Bach

A kiwi classic built in 1969, your family will be close to the forest and the beach when you stay at this relaxed and sunny gem. Well positioned on a flat, quarter acre section, the Waitārere sun streams in and there is plenty of room to play. The fireplace keeps things cosy in winter, and you can retreat to the quiet deck for coffee in the morning sun. The space The main hub of this home away from home is the spacious living area with plenty of comfy furniture to relax and unwind. There is a woodburner and plenty of firewood to warm the place up and a wetback for extra hot water. Two bedrooms (one queen, one with bunks) off the living space, plus a small sun room with double bed. All beds have mattress protectors, pillows and duvets. Please bring your own linen (sheets/pillow cases). Dining room for six at the circular table, which is also perfect for a game of cards. The basic kitchen boasts a dishwasher and washing machine and plenty of crockery and glassware options. Bathroom space is small and simple with shower, toilet and sink. There is an excellent hot water outdoor shower for rinsing after after an ocean swim or for nature lovers that like to bathe among the trees. Free wifi, and DVDs, board games and puzzles are available for guests to use. Bring your own linen (towels/tea towels/bathmats/handtowels.) NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to leave the house tidy and do the dishes before you leave please. Guest access The driveway and path lead to 4 steps to access the bach which is elevated. There is no handrail for the steps, please descend with care. The only space that guests can't access is the garage. cars can be parked on the driveway. Other things to note The bach is on bore water which is safe to drink and has a filtered tap available. If the noise of the pump is bothersome, it can be switched off overnight. Please respect our neighbours, quiet hours after 10pm, no smoking, no parties.
