Sandy Point is a small community located on the beautiful shores of Puget Sound. It is located roughly 15 minutes from the town of Ferndale, the true ‘city’ of Sandy Point, and nearly 20-25 minutes out of Bellingham. A small marina provides a wonderful access point for the San Juan Islands, giving a public/private boat launch to any that desire quick access to the beautiful Puget Sound. You will be in a small, close community, with very friendly neighbors, often happily strolling or riding on their bikes! Feel free to bring your own bikes and enjoy a nice ride around the neighborhood! Sandy Point is just that ... sandy. When the tide goes out, it goes OUT, which gives a new view and lots of birds to watch! One does want to wear water socks when going out to wander. Kids love getting sucked into the mud and digging! To see a different view, head to the end of the road and wander the rocky beach at the end of Saltspring Drive! Feel free to park along the side of the road. Any water toys are to be used AT YOUR OWN RISK. Please do not use the two-man kayak. Do not drag, rather carry water toys. NOTE: Durring burn bans, Guests are responsible for any related fines.
