Beautiful historic home with many updates.
Much like a “loft apartment” at top of the stairs, you’ll find your private space with original hardwood floors. The family room has a sofa & smart TV. Pass through there into your bedroom with a queen bed, full closet, table & chairs, mini kitchen cabinet with Keurig, microwave, toaster oven, mini fridge with separate freezer, hot plate with pans, dinnerware, glassware, & other misc. items. Next to the bedroom is a beautifully tiled full bathroom. Towels, linens, & wifi are included. The space Welcome to Our Home! Built in 1858 by the Arpin Family, who owned the Arpin Lumber Company located in Arpin, WI. The little town is aptly named after them. In 1889, the family built “La Chateau,” the large Victorian home next-door, and moved in there. It was one of the first homes in the area to have electricity, running water, and a telephone. In 1902, their son built “The White House” next to that. The family used to sit on the front porch and watch the Native Americans walk the trail along the Wisconsin River across the street. We are very proud of our old home and all the original woodwork and character it has to offer. During your stay I am happy to help in any way I can with questions or accommodations. I am available while home or via text. Other things to note Just to note, the parking is behind the house on the concrete between the house and garage. You will enter though the back door using a security code you will be provided. You will have to walk through the kitchen and formal dining room to get to the reception hall where the staircase is. We are accustomed to people coming and going, and keep to ourselves unless interacted with.
